TeXstudio

Fully-featured LaTeX editor.

TeXstudioOverview

TeXstudio is an integrated environment for writing LaTeX documents. Our goal is to make writing LaTeX as easy and comfortable as possible. Therefore TeXstudio has numerous features like syntax-highlighting, integrated viewer, reference checking and various assistants.

Easy Setup:

  • Installers or packages available for Windows, Linux and (experimental) OS X
  • Portable USB version available
  • Automatic detection of MikTeX, TeX Live, Ghostscript, and Standardlatex
  • SVN support

Note: The OS X version is experimental. Since none of the currently active developers are using OS X, we cannot thoroughly test it. We do our best to also support OS X, but be prepared that there may be some issues.

NEW

  • link overlays for urls
  • close editor tab by pressing middle mouse button
  • more standard shortcuts (in particular for OS X)
  • support optional filename argument in txs:///view-pdf-internal
  • add "expand/collapse all documents" to context menu of structure
  • add tabulary support

  • user-defined icons are now portable: if possible icon paths are stored relative to settings dir or application dir
  • windowed pdf viewer now supports --no-focus argument
  • improved detection of label name for "Insert ref to Next Label"

  • new option: encoding of bib files
  • new options: some GUI elements are now scalable (for better hi-res display support)
